Happy Birthday Sir

It was not my birthday but I felt happy to know that my class 12 science A students celebrated their class teacher's birthday. This gesture speaks a lot, it answers a lot about the relation between our teachers and students.

Mr. Rinchen is a close friend and I have to say one of our most dedicated teachers. If anybody  deserved such good wishes from our students, it has to be Mr. Rinchen. He has taught chemistry for the past seven years and he is like an elder brother to our students. They love him and also fear him, because they know him like he knows them.

Our teachers need motivation, and I ask you what can be more motivating than some thing like this. As a teacher, at the end of the day it is not the salary that you receive which motivates you, but to know that your students love you because you have done a good job in the classroom and in the school.

  2. Very thoughtful of his students to acknowledge him, otherwise where do we find gratitude these days?! It shows so much about the teacher he is, and more than anything it show how great the kids are...

  5. sir,
No doubt Mr.Rinchen is one of the best teachers we have in Punakha and he deserves all our love and respect for his dedication and hard work.
It was during 2008 class 12sci picnic, the moment everyone of us would remember all through our life. The whole class broke down and cried with despair at the news that our sir was leaving for his masters course, which means we were unfortunate not to have him in first place as our class teacher and then as chemistry teacher. I still remember how I cried so care free among 40 stds in front of our class teacher .

@Rachna - It is nice indeed, gestures like these are what we need to fuel a teacher's passion for teaching, his or her love for the profession. Thank you for your appreciation for our students.
